A collection of multifaceted media experimentation, exploring identity, the sensation of belonging and commercial style product design.
Costume design
Two costumes that explore the sense of belonging. A duo of costumes that were created to be worn as part of a movement piece surrounding the importance of looking back at our roots and how every path that we take in life leads us back to our true selves and the person we are meant to become. The project explores the awkward feelings of growing up and trying to find where you belong in society, expressing this through physical dynamics of the structural elements of the designs.
Greeting cards and wrapping paper design
Life milestones are something that should always be celebrated by everyone, without discrimination or a lack of representation. My work is a neutralised space with the simple goal of my products acting as a focal point where buyers can give their loved ones the heart-warming experience of taking a walk down memory lane. With playful imagery within my pattern designs, a sense of youth and nostalgia, allow my audience to lean into their carefree nature of their younger selves. My products transport customers back through their memories, as they hit another milestone, they are reminding themselves of where they came from and what experiences have made them who they have become today.
Ceramic work
Ergonomically designed mugs, curated to be used in cafes, created to sit in your hand comfortably. Inspired by palm stones, with their smooth exterior and neutral colour palette, these mugs are designed for neurodivergent individuals to use as a self regulation device if overstimulated in public spaces such as cafes. Their aim? Make public spaces more accessible for the neurodivergent community, understanding how design impacts the user experience of the space and recognising the lack of considerations within spatial design for the neurodivergent community.
